More aggressive than your average honey bee, Africanized bees are more easily provoked, attack in larger groups at ten times the speed of European bees and can chase humans as far as a half mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Treat Africanized Honey Bee Bites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have more than 10 to 12 stings or if you have symptoms that include extreme pain and itching, rapid swelling around the eyes, ears, tongue and throat, seek medical attention immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to severe itching and noticeable swelling, other indicators of developing anaphylactic shock include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Difficulty breathing<\/li><li>Wheezing or hoarseness<\/li><li>Cramping, including stomach cramps<\/li><li>Numbness and dizziness<\/li><li>A reddish rash or hives<\/li><li>Loss of consciousness<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do Africanized Honey Bees Sting?
